This was a really important question for MPS when considering whether to offer a Personal Consultancy approach, because they needed to ensure that the organisation’s identity, status and professionalism were protected.

JAYNE: Practitioners need to demonstrate that they have a sound therapeutic background with some additional coach training, as well as some training around integration. I believe they should ideally be a member of an organisation that has clear guidelines and support for the work they are doing. They should also have a clinical supervisor who is able to understand, support and challenge this particular way of working, in order to ensure safe and ethical practice.
